Varroa cloth

A simple tool for assessing the level of infestation in the hive. 

Made of white PVC, this cloth naturally collects varroa. By checking for varroa on a daily basis, the beekeeper can establish the level of contamination in the hive. The duration and frequency of such checks should be adjusted depending on the situation. 

Using the detection cloth:   

• With a wooden bottom board: the cloth slides straight in through the entrance. 
• With a plastic bottom board: on the base of plastic hives, there is a stopper which prevents you from sliding the cloth through the entrance. To put it in place, slide it above the overwintering plate.
