WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BIRCH JUICE AND BIRCH WATER?

You might not know, but birch sap and birch juice are two completely different products.

Birch sap :

Birch sap is obtained directly from the tree trunk through extraction when the sap rises at the end of winter. It is first and foremost a drink that you can consume whenever you like, without needing to process it. The simplest way is to drink it fresh. It can also be preserved in certain conditions.

Birch juice :

Birch juice is made from a concoction of birch leaves. To prepare birch juice, you need to place birch leaves into boiling water.

The difference is that birch juice requires human preparation while birch sap can be consumed as soon as it is extracted.

Birch juice is consumed in concentrate form which needs to be diluted in water. It also has a stronger flavour than birch sap.

You can usually find it is pharmacies and health stores.
